7 months ago**MANGO IS THE BEST SERVER! She is hilarious. My favourite restaurant in Ottawa. You can’t beat it for the price you pay. The food is always so good and the wine is cheap (and pairs great with the meat). I return on every special occasion and you should do. 10/10

7 months agoMy brother and I came here for dinner at 330 pm. There was plenty of seating and service was fast and efficient!!! They let us dine for 2 hours total b4 asking us to leave but the service was amazing and for my brother's first time was nic3 . I highly enjoyed my dinner and beer as did he!

7 months agoI had a great first visit at this place & I definitely recommend. The service is very very quick, empty plate is taken from your table immediately to make more room, food also came out very quickly & was not waiting at all. The servers were all great help & very quick to get anything required. I highly suggest the rice & egg dish & all the beef was great. The meat is all small portions to assure you can eat a lot & finish your food. My favourite was the rice & eggs add sweet soy sauce & I was surprised how big their miso marinated steak was very great. & the wings very very dankk. *there is a fee for any food not eaten. *HIGHLY suggest to reserve 1 hour before minimum as its very busy I got there late & wish I had more time to order. Very great place have been thinking of going back already & I tried it first time two days ago.

7 months agoThe waiters were really nice. Our server, Bryan, also gave really good service. He was nice to us and quick with the service. No time wasted at all and very efficient. The establishment is clean and had a nice interior. The food tasted really good and fresh. The desserts are so good (creme brulee and ice cream). Also, it’s a buffet so 10/10 would recommend. So worth the price!

7 months agoAbsolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we were immersed in an authentic Japanese atmosphere — serene, beautifully designed, and rich in detail. The quality of the food was nothing short of exceptional. What truly elevated our evening, however, was the outstanding service provided by our waiter, Arthur. He was the perfect blend of professional and personable — attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely enthusiastic about the cuisine. Arthur anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, offering thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be absolute hits. His timing was flawless, and his warm demeanour made us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for.

7 months agoI went to a family & friends lunch here, you are given a 1 hour 45 minute time limit and have a last call for orders 20 minutes before the end of the 1 hour and 45 minutes. It was hard to relax due to the time limit. But beside that, the food was beyond delicious. The waiter of our table gave us "a last call before the last call" so that was very considerate of him. Overall, a great place to go for someplace higher end but not too fancy.

7 months agoWe visited this place with a couple of friends and absolutely loved the experience! Luckily, our friends knew exactly what to order, though most dishes looked delicious. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and incredibly quick with the orders. We were in and out within an hour, completely stuffed and satisfied. Reservations are only available for groups of six or more, but you can usually get seated quickly if you arrive before 6 PM. We'll definitely be coming back with the kids!

7 months agoHad a wondetful time at the merivale location for Gybee. Our server Loic was very attentive and quick to assist. The food came out fast and was easy to cook. Love coming here and plan to come back!
